Der Crescent Nebel (NGC 6888 oder Sichelnebel) ist ein Emissionsnebel im Sternbild Schwan. Er ist ungef\u00e4hr 4’700 Lichtjahre von uns entfernt. Er wird von einem sogenannten Wolf-Rayet-Stern (WR 136) beleuchtet. Es wird vermutet dass das Gas des Nebels ebenfalls von diesem Stern ausgestossen wurde.<\/p>\n

Der Crescent Nebel wurde am 15. Dezember 1782 von Wilhelm Herschel entdeckt.<\/p>\n
