Die Sombrero-Galaxie (M 104) befindet sich im Sternbild Jungfrau. Sie ist etwa 30 Millionen Lichtjahre entfernt<\/p>\n

Entdeckt wurde sie am 9. April 1781 von Pierre M\u00e9chain.<\/p>\n

Mit einer Helligkeit von 8.3mag ist sie eine der scheinbar hellsten am Nachthimmel und in jedem kleinen Teleskop zu sehen.<\/p>\n

Obwohl die Sombrero-Galaxie wesentlich kleiner ist als unsere Milchstrasse oder die Andromeda-Galaxie, ist deren zentrales schwarze Loch zehnmal so massereich wie das Zentrum von der Andromeda-Galaxie. Sie hat einen Durchmesser von 50’000 Lichtjahren.<\/p>\n

Die Sombrero-Galaxie hat eine recht starke Rotverschiebung, d.h. sie entfernt sich mit einer Geschwindigkeit von gut 1’000 km\/s von uns. Daher geh\u00f6rt sie definitiv nicht zur Galaxiengruppe unserer Milchstrasse.<\/p>\n

Ihr Namen hat sie durch ihr typisches Aussehen erhalten durch das sehr dunkle, ausgepr\u00e4gte Staubband welches die Galaxie umspinnt.<\/p>\nngg_shortcode_0_placeholder\n

Schon mein erstes Foto war gar nicht so schlecht. Allerdings hatte ich ein bisschen Probleme, da die Sombrero-Galaxie nie sehr hoch \u00fcber dem Horizont ist. Das macht es etwas schwierig zum Fotografieren.<\/p>\n
